Barbara J. Brown 50, was born to the union of Mr. Aaron Brown and Mrs. Lillie McDonald Brown on April 2, 1960 in East S. Louis, IL. Barbara made her peaceful transition from this life on June 25, 2010.

She was educated in the East St. Louis school system. She later moved to Kansas City, MO and attended Penn Valley Community College receiving her associate degree. She accepted Christ at an early age. She attended True Life Baptist Church and later affiliated with Colas Temple COGIC under the leadership of the late Elder King Tyus in East St. Louis where she was a member of the choir. Her career life led her to AT&T where she worked faithfully for 18 years. She had great communication skills and was recognized as a dedicated customer service representative. Barbara's keen sense of leadership and respect from her peers gave her the honored opportunity to serve as "Union Steward" for the CWA Local. Though focused on career life, family was always most important. Her two wonderful sons were always her pride and joy. Even now, she smiles down on them proudly.

She is preceded in death by both parents; three sisters Ruby Dexter, Joyce Brown, and Beverly Brown; and one brother Aaron Brown Jr. She leaves to cherish fond memories two sons William Patrick and Charles Patrick of the home; three brothers Deacon Charles (Eddie Lou) of St. Louis, MO, Pastor Michael (Vanessa) Brown of East St. Louis, IL, George Brown (Decatur, IL); sister Faye (Rev. Rayford) Grady of Chicago, IL; sister-in-law Tokie Brown-Barnes Mexico, MO one loving aunt, Lillie Pearl Richardson (Centreville IL); a special lifelong friend Janice Murrell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Another flower to His garden has been added.
